Thank you for your excellent work. Can you update the plug-in which will support Unicode characters? Currently it just look for capital A-Z, it will be nice if it work with other language also like bangla. Hope to get support from you.

I would like to change the drop cap font to Verdana.

Where do the styling settings you use in the article go? Which file do I edit?

Hi David,

Thanks for the comment and the link. I vaguely remember reading that. I wouldn't worry about that last line of CSS, after all it depends which letter your drop cap is.

Thomas - Dropcaps plugin is absolutely brilliant! Thank you so much. One interesting tidbit. Link below has great visual/grid for dropcaps.

http://safalra.com/web-design/typography/css-drop-caps/

The one thing is I cannot figure out is how to implement the last CSS bit which is supposed to reduce the indentation of the first line.

.firstLetter + span{
margin-left : -0.5em;}

Very nice plugin. By the way, it actually works well with IE7. Don't know about previous versions. It does look better in Firefox, but at least the drop-cap displays properly in IE.
